Kung Foo!

5) Romeo Must Die - I know this might get a lot of WTF's, but I just really like this movie, maybe it's the fact that it's more American than most Kung-Foo movies and that helps it connect more with me.

4) Hong faan kui Rumble in the Bronx - My favorite Jackie Chan movie, hands down. This movie really epitomizes what I like about Jackie Chan. Humor and action non-stop.

3) Kuet chin chi gam ji din The Duel - This movie almost gets the number two slot, missing it only by a hair. The sheer over-the-top action, even for a wuxia film, and the "Invincible Umbrella" really sell this as a must-see.

2) Wo hu cang long Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - Even at number 2 on this list, this is a perfect movie. There is nothing I dislike about it. The story, the characters, the fight scenes, everything is executed so perfectly that I could watch this over and over again.

1) Fong Sai-Yuk and it's sequel, Fong Sai-Yuk II gets the top spot on my list only because compared to most of the other films on this list," I don't think many people have seen this movie, and really, more people should. "Rumble in the Bronx" may epitomize what I like about Jackie Chan, but "Fong Sai-Yuk" epitomizes what I like about Kung-Fu movies overall.

Special Mention: Siu nin Wong Fei Hung ji Tit Ma Lau Iron Monkey - This movie gets a special mention because it almost made the list. Do not see the most recent english release, though, because it's been heavily edited.

5)Enter the Dragon. This one makes the list due to its enormous influence. Not one of my personal favorites, but i couldn't leave it off the list.

4)The Last Dragon. Am I the meanest? Sho Nuff! Am I the Prettiest? Sho Nuff! Am I the baddest, mo-fo, lowdown, around this town? Sho Nuff! Well who am I? Sho Nuff! Who am I? Sho Nuff! I can't hear you! Sho Nuff! The Shogun of Harlem!

3)The Drunken Master. Jackie Chan's best. He's never been funnier, and his stunts never better.

2)The Matrix. Wasn't sure if I should include this on the list, but it's just a great example of when wire-fu goes right. "I know kung fu."

1)Fists of Fury. Bruce Lee's first starring role, and his best. Don't know what else to say, it's just great.

I'm a big fan of Jackie Chan and Jet Li's 80's and early 90's flicks. The "Once Upon a Time in China" series, the "Police Story" series, "Wheels on Meals", "The Legend" 1 + 2, "Twin Warriors", "Operation Condor," "The Young Master," "Project A" 1 + 2. Especially Chan, he rarely did wrong. "The Legend of Drunken Master" is definatley my favorite from him. I also love Michelle Yeoh, so "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" is a no-brainer, although more of an epic than a kung-fu flick.

More Recently, Tony Jaa has filled the void with "Ong Bak" and his newer release "Tom Yum Goong". Keep an eye out for him.

Never been a big Bruce Lee fan.

Totally agree on Chan, man. His movies are always a joy. I'll have to check out Tony Jaa, though, Ong Bak sounds familiar, but I'll have to check out his movies.
